Laurence Kesterson is a photographer with more than 30 years of diverse experience. For 24 years he was a staff photographer at The Philadelphia Inquirer. His career has included staff positions at small town dailies, service in the US Army as a photographer, and freelancing for wire services and commercial clients. His work has appeared in Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, Le Figaro, Le Monde and a variety of other publications.  

In the days immediately following Hurricane Katrina, Laurence was a part of the Knight Ridder staff assigned to the Biloxi Sun Herald, which was awarded the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service.
